“Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind”

-Unknown

Most of us have participated in less than flattering description of another, or the one finger wave. We do this with such authority, we often feel satisfied and justified in our actions at the time.

We are so positive that if we point out their stupidity they will instantly become smarter and we can relish in the thought that we helped someone be better.

What is the cost to us? If the Universe has a boomerang effect, we can then say, that everything we put out into the world comes back. Are you ok with that?

Let’s find some ways we can improve what returns to us

  • How would you describe yourself?
  • How would you describe yourself when you are driving?
  • If it is different for you, what happens and why?
  • What could you change to create better Karma coming back to you?
  • What kind of energy do you like to be around?
  • Do you give that kind of energy?
  • How do you want your day to go? Your life to go?
  • What would happen in your life if you opened your heart?

Whatever we focus our thoughts and energy on, grows. If we spend our day telling people what they're doing wrong, we create more people to tell.

However if we were to focus our energy on seeing people as kind, human beings, doing the best they can, then we see more of same.

We are a society so quick to comment and judge when we really don’t know all the facts, even though we might think we do. It just doesn’t serve us to get all worked up about others, watching the news, traffic, the choices people make. It lowers our vibration, and before you know it we are creating the very situation we were trying to avoid.

It says a lot about who you are by your actions, our world sometimes ends at the end of our nose and we cannot see past it. It is time to raise our awareness of what we put out into the world, not just for the sake of others but also ourselves.

If we can remember that everything we give, we get back. This can be overwhelming, especially if we have had a bad day and we've shared it with others in a demonstrative way.

We can start by doing the small things, find the good things of the day to talk about rather than complaining. Smile at someone instead of frowning.

Try giving people the benefit of the doubt, give others a little piece of your heart instead of your mind and see what happens.

At the very least you will feel much more at peace and isn’t that what we could all use a little bit more of.
